Rodriguez (formerly Montalban) is a municipality in the province of Rizal, Philippines. It had a population of 280,904 people as registered in the 2010 Census.

Rodriguez is the northernmost town in the province and comes after San Mateo, Quezon City coming from Metro Manila. The town is located on the slopes of the Sierra Madre mountain range and features many resorts, It is also one of the largest towns in Rizal province with 312.70 km² and population density of 368.3/km² (953.9/sq mi). It borders the town of San Mateo and Antipolo City in the south, Norzagaray and San Jose Del Monte City in the north, Gen. Nakar on the east and Quezon City in the west.

The legend of Bernardo Carpio is said to have happened in the mountains of Montalban. The legend tells the story of a giant trapped between two mountains.

Rodriguez is administratively subdivided into 11 barangays:

    My family has a lot in Phase 3, house under construction. Dapat bantayan yung area against squatter. Also phase 5,needs street paving

    Just spent my 52nd birthday in the prayer mountain last week, such a great and awesome experience again ! What a wonderful and great time to be back in that blessed place after over 10 years. The place's development was tremendous, the accommodations are just great...yet the peaceful, serene, holy ambiance was not lost, all in all it's still one of the best place to go to if a person really want to seek GOD, commune with Him, and have a rest both for the body, soul, and spirit :) Thank You so much, Lord for bringing me again to this prayer mountain, Gethsemane.02/10/2018 MLRecto
